Tones of Red

Species: House Finch | Location: North Carolina, United States

During the short-lived fall here in the Carolinas, I wanted to capture all the birds coming in the yard against a colorful backdrop of the transitioning maple tree. The leaves are mostly fallen now with continuous rains. This image was captured with misty rain and a cold fall day. I love how the red of the house finch is enhanced by the background reds of the maple tree.

About The Photographer

Wildlife around the place where we reside interests me and I like to capture them during different seasons.
