Species: Red-legged Honey-creeper, Male | Location: Casa Orquideas, Costa rica

I was on a trip in Central America and our first country was Costa Rica. We stopped at a botanical garden. I looked for a place where the birds were feeding and positioned myself so that I could get a clear shot of where the birds were landing before heading to the food. Unfortunately, this spot was in the shade, necessitating the use of a high ISO and a lower shutter speed than I would prefer. Luckily the birds usually stopped and looked before heading to the food. I've taken other pictures of this honey-creeper, but I've never been this close. I was really excited to get this shot and it's one of my favorites from that day.
