Tones of Red

Species: House Finch | Location: North Carolina, United States of America

During the short-lived fall here in the Carolinas, I wanted to capture all the birds coming in the yard against a colorful backdrop of the transitioning maple tree. The leaves are mostly fallen now with continuous rains. This image was captured with misty rain and a cold fall day. I love how the red of the house finch is enhanced by the background reds of the maple tree.

About The Photographer
