Coming in Hot

Species: Cape Vulture. | Location: Kwazulu Natal, Giants Castle, South Africa

The Cape vulture is an aggressive scavenger at carcasses and listed as vulnerable in South Africa. They are usually in groups of up to 50 birds and are really impressive to see feeding. This bird came in to land on a cliff and the light with the mountains in the background painted a perfect picture.

About The Photographer

Cropped abraham 4387

I grew up spending time in the South African bush as often as possible and learn about our wildlife and birds. I started taking serious photos about 12 years ago when I bought my first DSLR camera. From there I have upgraded bodies and lenses in my strive to take good quality photos of my subjects. Capturing wildlife and birds is very rewarding and sharing it with fellow enthusiasts gives me great pleasure.Taking photos for me is having memories of a moment otherwise lost!
