Leopard at Twilight

Species: Leopard | Location: Linyanti, Botswana

The photo was taken as twilight approached on the first day of our trip Nat Hab to Botswana. We hoped to see a leopard on the trip. We had no idea what was happening when Thuto headed the Land Rover through the mopane. Suddenly, there was a leopard on a low termite mound. It was the first I had ever seen in the wild and was approached with enough light for decent photos!
