Species: Koala | Location: Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia
While driving along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia, I was eagerly awaiting the moment when I'd get to see a koala in its natural habitat. I had seen a few, but most of them were far away, surrounded by leaves, and sleeping. Finally, we saw this guy who was awake, alert, and very visible. I was thrilled to see this adorable, fuzzy and rare creature perched high in a Eucalyptus tree, and luckily I was able to capture his face on camera!gabbyboucher.com
