The dominant silverback of his group heads back to the forest after a morning of snacking on eucalyptus bark just outside the boundary wall of Volcanoes National Park. This was just one of many memorable photo opportunities on our Ultimate Gorilla Photo Safari with Nat Hab last November. Our encounters mostly required hiking in dense forest to find the four gorilla groups we visited, however on our last day this group cooperated by practically coming out to greet us!
