Young Hippo Under Parental Guidance

Species: Large African Hippopotamus | Location: Hell's Gate National Park, Kenya

Hell's Gate National Park in the Great Rift Valley is one of Kenya's many natural treasures. On a bicycle safari, I snapped this picture of a young hippo and its mother wading gracefully through Lake Naivasha. It's amazing to be around so many wild and free animals, including a few big cats and many flocks of beautiful birds.
