Species: Bison bison | Location: Yellowstone National Park, United States of America
I have wanted to photograph a frost-covered bison, and in January 2017 I got my chance. Fortunately, my long lens (120-400mm) allowed me to zoom in on this bull bison's face while standing a safe distance away. He cooperated by turning to look at me just as a clicked the shutter release. I didn't realize how much I like this photo until several months later when I ran across it while looking through my images.
