On a Natural Habitat Adventure to Churchill, Manitoba, Canada we spent our three days in a Polar Rover spotting polar bears. After an 8 month fast, the bears are waiting for the ice to freeze on Hudson Bay so they can get to the seals, which make up the largest portion of their diet. They mostly nap in the snow and wait, not expending much energy. This bear will probably gain 400 pounds when he starts hunting again, but this day he was just stretching and snoozing.
