Species: Roosevelt Elk | Location: Pacific County, Washington, United States
Driving along Highway 101 in Pacific County, the tide is either in or out. On the day this was taken, the tide was in. This is typically a feeding ground for the elk, however the dike has been removed and their area is now influenced by the tide. Time must have gotten the best of them, as they are now surrounded by water.

About The Photographer
My art studies began in high school and continued into college. Last studying graphic design and photography at New Mexico State University, my husband and I then moved to Willapa Valley where I continue my work in the arts today.
I have found my passion in photography. There is so much beauty to capture. My husband and I enjoy traveling and the outdoors, where I seem to always find something to photograph. It has been said that “Cathy's photography style offers amazing technical perfection as she captures the true essence of her subject.”
As they say "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." "As I feel we are blessed with beauty surrounding us each and every day, and I can find it in everything, I choose to capture the moments and share with others!"
