Species: Green Vine Snake | Location: Agumbe, Western Ghats, India
Green vine snakes from western ghats of India seem to be diurnal and are found in plenty during monsoon season. They are quite aggressive and mildly venomous. They tend change their colour—black and white checkers—when there is a threat or if they're touched. They turn green when they are calm. They are skillful hunters with an ambush hunting technique.
