This yearling cub had been in the river with his mom, looking for salmon when he suddenly bolted from the water and up a tree right next to the viewing platform at Brooks Falls. It provided some of the best photo ops of our trip.

I love the outdoors. The farther out, the better. Nature and wildlife photography is a natural extension of that. God created a beautiful world for us to enjoy and we haven''t completely screwed it up yet! The camera gives me a great excuse to get outside and gives me a whole new way of seeing things that I've looked at a thousand times.
