Eyes of a Lion

Species: Panthera leo/African Lion | Location: Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

We were driving near this grassy area in the Serengeti where our guide thought we might see a lion. Sure enough, in the shade were two magnificent lions who didn't even flinch, but stared right at us. At first all I could do was to admire the beauty of Africa's top predator, and then the photographer kicked in and I got my image.

About The Photographer

Cropped barbara hayton 1

I've been a passionate nature photographer for about 15 years and being out with wildlife in their natural habitat is my absolute favorite. I travel as much as I can to see the many different, wonderful species and my recent trip to Tanzania was the highlight of my life…so far.
