Staring Contest

Species: Brown Bear | Location: Katmai National Park and Preserve, United States

For a few hours on one evening at Brooks Falls, the salmon came up the river. Many bears came to investigate and catch their fair share of salmon. In this photo, the bear was focused on flying salmon below when this one came almost nose-to-nose with him.  This photo was taken on a trip to Alaska with Nat Hab.
