Indian Chameleon

Species: Indian Chameleon | Location: Periyar Tiger Reserve, Kerala, India

An Indian chameleon was basking on some dry twigs, with the sun shining directly overhead. Even though it did not seem bothered by our presence, I did not attempt to get close, but instead used the long focal lens. This helped, as I was able to take several shots.

Shot in the Periyar Tiger Reserve in Keala, India, on 24 Dec. 2013 at 1 PM, during a trek through the forest
