Species: Blue Grey Tanager | Location: Danaus Nature Center, Costa Rica
We stopped at Danaus Nature Center. While the guide was paying the fee, I was outside watching some birds. There was some food that had been put out. I noticed that many of the birds would first stop on this vine before going to the food. I focused on the vine and waited. It was a dreary day with heavy cloud cover, which is why I needed the higher ISO. Once a bird landed where I had focused, I took the shot.
About The Photographer
I'm a world traveler who has been traveling the globe for the past 15 years, visiting places that are being most impacted by global warming. My initial photography interest was in macros of plants and flowers, but once I obtained a longer lens, I became an avid wildlife photographer. I enjoy visiting off-the-beaten-path places and capturing images of the flora and fauna. I also enjoy sharing these images and experiences with others through my web site and personal presentations.
