Cleared for Takeoff

Species: Saddle-billed Stork | Location: Okavango Delta, Botswana

While cruising in the Okavango Delta of Botswana with Nat Hab, we came upon a pair of saddle-billed storks. When the female thought we had gotten close enough, she began her takeoff run just as I snapped this image. The male followed close behind her.

About The Photographer

I am an amateur photographer and try to learn more about good photography everyday. I fell in love with wildlife photagraphy during a wonderful photo safari to Botswana with Natural Habitat Aventures and have booked a follow-on trip in February 2016.
