Species: Bengal Tiger/Panthera tigris tigris | Location: Ranthambore National Park, India
On an early morning drive in Ranthambore National Park on Nat Hab's India's Tigers & Wildlife: A Photo Safari, we spotted a tigress coming out of the grass. Our guide identified her as Krishna, the Queen Tigress of Ranthambore (she controls the largest area in the park). Our driver maneuvered us into position so that the tigress would hopefully stroll by our vehicle. Krishna passed within about 10 feet of the vehicle and did not seem to care in the least that we were nearby.
