Morning Rhino

Species: Rhino | Location: Kruger National Park, South Africa

In August 2014 I took the trip of a lifetime to South Africa that included four days in Kruger National Park and was lucky enough to see several rhinos. This female rhino was close to the road in the park- this was the second rhino sighting we had on our first morning in the park, and by far the closest! We stayed with her for at least 10 minutes. We were so close I could hear her breathing, even with the engine running. She just kept quietly grazing. I can't wait to go back and spend more time in the park!

About The Photographer

Hello, I'm Glen Fuhrmeister owner and sole photographer for GF Photography. I am in love with taking photos. I have been taking photos since I was a young 4-H nerd taking my prints to the fair! I enjoy it so much that I've turned my hobby into a business. I am a natural light photographer. My studio is anywhere I happen to have my camera. I currently live in Washington, D.C. but still have very strong ties to my Mid-West, Iowa roots. I try to travel often, and always with my camera in hand.
