Species: elephant | Location: Kitirui Conservancy, Kenya
An elephant bull kicks debris at the camera in indignation.
All that future generations shall inherit is dust and bones. My aim was to enchant my audience with intimate photographs of elephants that my message would haunt them forever. Man is responsible for such destruction of elephants and the future of these giant creatures and their habitat is in our hands.
This image is presented at a critical time since the well being of elephants and their habitat is critical.

About The Photographer
Mike Fell is a wildlife and conservation photographer specializing in natural history, science and conservation related issues. A wildlife fanatic, adventurer, safari guide and conservationist with 21 years of experience in the field, Mike believes that photography and story telling are key components of conservation. With a deep respect and understanding for African wildlife, his work explores the diversity of life and brings attention to the impacts of human activity on wildlife in his home continent of Africa.
Mike's passion often takes him on safari to places far removed from the normal pathways, to remote and less travelled destinations, in order to capture animals in their natural environment. This regularly puts him in situations where he is up close and personal with wild animals and that is why his photos often arouse feelings of intimacy with the creatures he depicts.
Action is needed to preserve our natural world and Mike's hope is that his photographs will inspire people everywhere to join the cause and to help stop the senseless destruction of life and beauty before it is too late.
