Species: King Penguin | Location: Saunders Island, Falkland Islands
We were on the second day of our journey from the Falkland Islands to Patagonia. We stopped at Saunders Island to view several species of penguins and other wildlife. There was a small group of king penguins. We couldn't get too close because the area was roped off. I walked around to find a good position and waited for most of the group to leave. I then saw a young penguin and an adult. I waited for a good interactive moment and took the picture.

About The Photographer
I'm a world traveler who has been traveling the globe for the past 15 years, visiting places that are being most impacted by global warming. My initial photography interest was in macros of plants and flowers, but once I obtained a longer lens, I became an avid wildlife photographer. I enjoy visiting off-the-beaten-path places and capturing images of the flora and fauna. I also enjoy sharing these images and experiences with others through my web site and personal presentations.
