Species: Mountain Gorilla | Location: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, Uganda
I was in Bwindi on a gorilla trek. I had specifically asked to be in the group that went to the closest family. Luckily the gorilla family got the memo and they were only an easy 30-minute walk away. They also were in a relatively open area and 13 of the 17 family members were on the ground. This young male was squirming and moving around his mother. He then climbed on her back and posed in this aggressive manner.

About The Photographer
I'm a world traveler who has been traveling the globe for the past 15 years, visiting places that are being most impacted by global warming. My initial photography interest was in macros of plants and flowers, but once I obtained a longer lens, I became an avid wildlife photographer. I enjoy visiting off-the-beaten-path places and capturing images of the flora and fauna. I also enjoy sharing these images and experiences with others through my web site and personal presentations.
