Species: Polar Bear | Location: Churchill Wildlife Management Area, Canada
It was our first day out on the rover, and I think this bear was our fourth sighting that morning. He was resting along the Hudson Bay shoreline and decided to eat some kelp. I like this shot because a wave is breaking in the background. After awhile, he started walking around and eventually headed toward our rover. Before we knew it, he was curious enough to check out the rover and walked right under the back deck. He was breathtaking and truly a joy to observe. This photo was taken on a trip to Churchill with Nat Hab.
