Species: Plain Prinia | Location: Hyderabad, India

The start of winter brings with it the joy of observing the migrant birds to the city of Hyderabad, Telangana. On one such trips, I spotted a group of plain prinias playing close by. These beautiful birds belong to small warbler family. They are resident breeders spreading from Pakistan to India and South-East Asia. Being strong community birds, these are mostly found staying close in small groups. They share a strong bonding with each other looking out for each other to save themselves from any predators. Found in this photograph is one such fellow who was keeping an eye on me while warning the others about my movements.
