Species: Polar Bear | Location: Seal River, Manitoba, Hudson Bay, Canada
A polar bear at peace looking over his space on a warm October afternoon provided me with a special viewing moment. Resting on a "bed" of kelp and fragmented rocks didn't seem to bother him, though it would not have been my first choice!
About The Photographer
I am retired and over the past several years have been seeking out adventures with wildlife—notably bears. Actually became an enthusiast during my first trip to Alaska with Nat Hab several years ago. So far my bear repertoire includes grizzly, spirit, and polar photographed in their "natural habitat."
However, my travels have ranged far and near—Africa, Asia, Arctic Circle, Antarctica and places in between and love the challenge of getting up close and personal, and hopefully getting a memorable photo with my less-than-exotic camera.
