Dall Sheep on the Ridge

Species: Dall sheep (Ovis dalli) | Location: Denali National Park and Preserve, United States

After hiking seven miles to reach a high alpine ridge in Denali National Park I came upon this beautiful Dall sheep ram. He hung out on the ridge, chewed some cud and then went back to graze some more. While watching him, the clouds cleared and the warm afternoon sun appeared to light up the white coat of this high alpine mammal.
