Species: Fiery Throated Hummingbird | Location: Costa Rica, near Poas Volcano National Park, Central America
On a study abroad program to perform field work in Costa Rica during college we stayed in a mountain hotel near Poas Volcano National Park and I spent several hours one morning just snapping shots of the myriad of hummingbird species in the hotel's hummingbird garden, my camera's flash managed to light up the iridescent feathers of this fiery throated humming bird without startling it.
About The Photographer
I'm an adventure-seeker and nature lover. I fell in love with the art of photography early in my college career and used it as a reason to go out and hike around my college and the woods back home. Photography to me is that one moment that can't be repeated or replaced, and it inspires me to want to travel the world and have those moments in my life with the photos that immortalize those experiences forever.
