White Ibis Pair in Morning Light

Species: White Ibis | Location: Basin Trail at Ft. Fisher State Recreation Area Reserve, NC, USA

The Basin Trail offers wonderful relatively close views of a variety of water birds in natural estuaries on both sides of the trail, often with good cover behind shrubs. An 8am walk was very productive for observing multiple species in a little over an hour. I sure felt blessed with good fortune.

There's nothing I enjoy more than being outside in scenic natural areas and having the opportunity to photograph wildlife in their natural habitat. And being retired only adds to the opportunities & enjoyment.
