Species: Mammal/American Bison/Buffalo | Location: Yellowstone, Old Faithful Geyser Basin, USA
On a recent Natural Habitat Adventures trip to Yellowstone, our group was up early on the walking trails around the Old Faithful Inn on our last day there. We saw this Bison as it was gradually making it's way amongst the smaller geysers and grazing. I was following it from the trails and noticed that it was walking toward the river close by. I ran down one of the paths to try and get a shot of it crossing the river. Just as I arrived further down the trail I was lucky enough to get this photo. It was a perfect parting shot to our visit to Old Faithful.
About The Photographer
Advanced amateur photographer of many years, mostly interested in landscapes and wildlife or, better yet, "wildlife landscapes". Have traveled to many places photographing, and by various modes, but a recent guided trip with Natural Habitat Adventures provided the best way to get some of the most rewarding photographs I've ever taken. I use full frame digital Nikon cameras and lenses.
