2016 WILDLIFE PHOTO CONTEST EXPERTS' CHOICE WINNER! 

A chimpanzee strikes a contemplative pose!! Very difficult to photograph chimps in the extremely low light conditions of the dense forest, but luckily for me there was a sliver of light shining on this chimp's face. Taken while on Nat Hab's Ultimate Gorilla Photo Safari in Uganda and Rwanda.

I have a great passion for wildlife and landscape photography and I travel whenever I can. I've been to every continent and have had two adventurous crossings of the Pacific Ocean on a 31-foot sailboat. I always have a camera in my hand. Right now I'm busy creating fine art photographic images which are a blend of digital painting and photography and have recently become a Getty Images contributor.
