Evening Bugle

Species: Elk | Location: Washington, United States

Travelling through Yellowstone as the evening was drawing in we came across a herd of elk across the river. This fine bull elk was calling his herd. Then he stopped and looked across at us and was framed in the golden light of the grass giving his silhouette.

About The Photographer

I was born in England and have lived and worked as a nurse in the USA for over 20 years now and I love both countries. Each has its own unique beauty from the quaint and lovely rolling hills of England and the beautiful coastline to the incredible, magnificent and diverse landscapes of the USA. My love of the wildlife photo opportunities keeps me travelling the USA with my camera bag on my shoulder. My best days involve seeing natural creatures such as the great Bald eagle in the wild where they belong.
