This mother and her cubs are taking a break from digging for clams on the beach of coastal Katmai National Park in Alaska.

Eric's illustrious career began in Alaska in 1989, where he worked as a field researcher on many of the state’s diverse animal species, including river otters, waterfowl, moose and reindeer.
