Gemsbok in the Kalahari

Species: Gemsbok | Location: Kalahari Desert, Botswana

Although the Kalahari Desert can be a stark environment in the dry season, wildlife abounds during the green season once the rains begin.  Grasses grow, flowers bloom, and gemsbok (along with many other antelopes) can be found nearly everywhere.
