American Robin Enjoying the Snow

Species: American Robin | Location: IL, United States of America

I was driving by and saw this magical scene of this American robin in a flurry of snow. He/she seemed to be enjoying and quit mesmerized by the snow. It was such a delight to see this, and even better I had my camera with me.

Sandra Rust is a photographer based in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Columbia College in Chicago with a BA in fine art, and studied digital imaging in graduate school at Governors State University. Completed an Integrated Marketing certificate at Depaul University Chicago / graduate program.

Her work has been featured throughout the US, and Europe (through exhibitions, online, awards, featured in magazines Wild Planet, Outdoor Photographer, WWF, National Wildlife Federation, Student Conservation Association and art galleries).

Her photography explores nature, commercial architecture, portraits, industrial, and editorial images. Her photographic process is influenced by her background as fine art artist/graphic designer/illustrator.

I started out years ago working on a conservation project in the Florida Everglades. This ignited my passion to bring awareness to protect nature and our wings of the world. I use my fine art education/background to create colorful life filled and mostly inflight images of the wings of the world. I want to show how important our animal kingdom is to our own existence.
