We found this gorgeous dragonfly in our yard - wings soaked with water unable to fly in the freezing cold. One of my daughters gently picked it up, put it in an open glass container, and brought it inside to warm it up and dry out its wings. It slept peacefully on this leaf for a few hours. It started moving a bit, and the sun had come out, so we brought it outside to release it. This picture was taken moments before it flew off! We knew dragonflies were gorgeous creatures, but we had no idea how sweet their little faces are.
