From the bank of Long Pond, with striking speed, this great egret snatched a snake from the water. The 6-minute struggle began! The egret lost control of the snake twice and I thought the snake might get away but the egret was motivated and continued to whip and toss the snake about. The snake put up a good fight but ultimately lost the battle.
