This photo was taken in Port Orange, FL. at DJ's Deck restaurant. A boat docked and was cleaning their fish. The captain threw some dead fish over his boat and this pelican got a mouthfull.

About The Photographer

Laura Domingue is a sports photographer residing in Colorado Springs, CO. Laura has a passion for sports and watching her boys compete in various competitions. She knows the difficulty of wanting to watch and enjoy your athlete’s game while at the same time, trying to take pictures of the action on the field.

After dedicating 10 years to raising her two boys, Laura enrolled at Daytona State College, where she graduated with a General Associates of Arts degree in 2015. Shortly after Laura moved to Colorado Springs, CO and attended Pikes Peak Community College where she graduated in 2019 with an Associates of Applied Science degree in Photography.

Laura’s passion and love of sports and photography have led to opportunities in photographing, University of Colorado Boulder (CU) football, New Mexico Bowl, World Camping Bowl, Citrus Bowl, Department of Defense (D.O.D) Warrior Games, Unites States Air Force Academy (USAFA) Women’s Gymnastics, University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (UCCS) Basketball, and Unites States Air Force Academy (USAFA) Basketball. Many of her photographs have been published in local and regional outlets. Among her achievements to date she has been offered more opportunities with photographing the 2019 University of Colorado Boulder (CU) football season and 2019 University of Florida (UF) football season.

Her experiences photographing sports has grown into an ability to keep things quick, and fun while always creating great images, no matter the condition.

When Laura is not photographing sports, she can be found at home in Colorado Springs with her husband Nick, and two sons, Mason and Miles.
