Einstein—looks clever and funny at the same time. I had a wonderful time watching this particular monkey. He would jump and play for sometime and then stop and sit in deep thought. Made me think of Einstein and what he would probably have done when coming up with a new invention.

The red colobus monkey is very social, and I observed them playing and grooming. The males maintain close bonds, both for defense of their group and also grooming each other, unlike the females. With an increase in deforestation, it has resulted in a significant reduction in resources and habitat.

About The Photographer

Cropped img 8040

I am Australian living in Dubai. I have lived quite a few years in Zimbabwe and Botswana too. I am an amateur photographer that loves taking photographs of anything beautiful but mostly nature. I travel to Africa often and over the last few years have been getting more and more interested in taking wildlife photos. There is something magical about seeing and experiencing something beautiful and being able to capture it in a photo to look back on forever
