Afternoon Yawn

My son and I were making our way out of Yellowstone National Park, after spending 5 days there, when we happened upon this red fox sleeping on a cliffside opposite a ravine. We waited quite awhile for the fox to wake up and when it did it yawned, got up and spun to its right, shook, laid back down, yawned again and tucked its head back in to sleep some more. A magical moment to cap off a wonderful photo trip!

I'm an advanced amateur photographer who loves taking wildlife and landscape images. It takes a lot of work and patience to capture my images, but when you get that "Wow!" shot it makes it all worthwhile.
