African Beauty

Species: Elephant | Location: Mkuze Falls, South Africa

It was an evening game drive. When we approached the herd of elephants, they were all running. We were told the female was in heat and the males were all after her. We learned that the elephants have a sweat gland on the side of their heads, close to their eyes, which excretes when they get "excited".
