Species: African Leopard | Location: Limpopo Valley, South Africa
Always exciting to spot a leopard! With this shot I was caught a bit off guard with the excitement, though, as my lens was in manual mode…and I wasn’t quite ready for her. Luckily, she was quite relaxed and gave us the time to get some pictures together with a great sighting.
About The Photographer
I obtained my BSc degree in Conservation Ecology at the University of Stellenbosch back in 2009. Since then I have worked in several sectors of the Wildlife Industry in South Africa including game-capture, reserve management, stud management, tourism and wildlife research.
In my career, I have been blessed to be able to meet- and work with some amazing individuals who are involved in some truly inspiring work. These experiences have taught me that conservation goals can only be achieved when people understand each other and work together.
I view myself as a passionate conservationist and always try and use my photos to help people become more aware of conservation and outdoor life. I have a great love for the bushveld of South Africa and count myself truly blessed to be able to live in this amazing country.
