Species: Grizzly Bear | Location: Yellowstone, United States of America
Half of the famous Raspberry and Snow grizzly duo in Yellowstone National Park. Raspberry (the mother) keeps a wary eye while Snow, who is barely seen in the background, finishes off a yellow-bellied marmot. This pair stayed together a year longer than most grizzlies (it is the Millennial era), but now the drive to continue to propagate the species has finally caused the pair to split up shortly after this photo was taken. A nice spring shower added to the backdrop to pull everything together on this photo.

About The Photographer
Together with my wife we make up Howell Nature Photography growing our passion for nature and photography into a small business. I have been bitten hard by the Africa bug, but when I am not able to make it to Africa I head for the "Serengeti of the United States"...Yellowstone National Park.
