Video Tutorial on Monarch Migration Photography

It’s no secret that the monarch butterfly migration is one of my favorite things to photograph.  I’ve been guiding and photographing those little buggers in the fir forests of Central Mexico for 20 plus years and it still invigorates me beyond belief each time I am down in the monarch colonies.

On a recent adventure I was joined by a videographer from Natural Habitat Adventures, Andrew Ackerman, and we recorded a great little tutorial video on how to photograph the monarch migration, broken down into multiple photo opportunities and on-site instruction.

Whether you’re headed on an adventure to photograph monarch butterflies or simply wish to see what photography is like amongst the millions of monarchs, I invite you to watch this short video tutorial on monarch photography!
