We respect the privacy of our clients and the privacy of their personal information. All client information collected by Natural Habitat Adventures (Nat Hab) is governed by our Terms & Conditions. Although we own the data storage, databases, and the nathab.com website, you retain all rights to your information.

What We Collect

Nathab.com visitors – We primarily collect volunteered information through the use of web forms. When you request a catalog, we ask for the following information: your name, contact information, email address, mailing address, travel history, and referral source. Users of nathab.com also have the option to provide more information regarding their interest in Natural Habitat Adventures and our partner companies. When requesting to join the e-newsletter mailing list, we also collect your name and email address. Through the use of third-party partners, Nat Hab may also collect and analyze certain visitors’ aggregate information regarding the use of nathab.com and the services available therein. Information collected may include but is not limited to website traffic volume, frequency of visits, type and time of transactions, type of browsers, type of operating system, page visits, website referral data, Cookie data, and live chat transcripts.

Email – We collect the email addresses and certain personally identifiable pieces of information of those who communicate with Nat Hab via email.

Trip Forms – Once travel arrangements are booked, clients will be given the opportunity to submit their required personal information via our Trip Forms. Although different information is required for different destinations, Trip Forms can ask for the following: payment information, emergency contact information, proof of medical evacuation insurance, past medical history, current medications, physical limitations, dietary preferences, passport information, arrival information, departure information, and a Release of Claims.

Use of Information

We may use personal information to provide the services you’ve requested, including services that display customized Trip Forms. We may also use personal information for auditing, research and analysis to operate and improve Nat Hab. We may use third parties to assist us in processing your personal information, and we require that such third parties comply with our Privacy Policy and any appropriate confidentiality and security measures.

The information we collect is not shared with or sold to other organizations for commercial purposes, except to provide the services you’ve requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:

If it becomes necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of the Terms and Conditions, or as otherwise required by law.

If Nat Hab is acquired or merged with another company. In this event, Nat Hab will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy. If Nat Hab partakes in cross-company marketing. In this event, Nat Hab can share select data with reputable partner companies for the sole purpose of marketing to those clients who have agreed to receive non-Nat Hab marketing. This data is limited to: your name, mailing address, and email address. Our partner companies include but are not limited to: members of the Adventure Collection, Natural Habitat Safaris, Asia360° Travel Co., Explorers’ Corner, Gaiam, and World Wildlife Fund. Each client is assigned a unique username and password, which is required to access Trip Forms and booking information. When we receive or transfer certain types of sensitive information such as financial, passport, or health information, we redirect nathab.com visitors to a secure server using an encrypted secure socket layer certificate and HTTPS connection.

When you use the Natural Habitat Adventures website, we make good-faith efforts to provide you with access to your personal information and either correct this data if it is inaccurate or to delete such data at your request if it is not otherwise required to be retained by law or for legitimate business purposes. We may decline to process requests that are unreasonably impractical such as requests concerning information residing on backup drives for which access is not otherwise required.
