Rallus longirostris/Clapper Rail, Navarre Beach Park, FL, United States of America
Clapper Rail

Species: Rallus longirostris/Clapper Rail | Location: Navarre Beach Park, FL, United States of America

The sound a Clapper Rail makes when it's calling is very loud and distinctive. I can usually "find" them to photo based on locating the direction of the call. But I never was able to witness one actually calling...they certainly "stretch out"

About The Photographer

I have been Blessed enough in the past several years to live in an area of Northwest Florida, along the Gulf Coast, that attracts unique, endangered and threatened species of shorebirds. To be able to see and photograph so many unique and incredible birds is a truly exciting and humbling experience...and I hope, through my photography, to share the unique and incredible beauty that I see.
