2017 Wildlife Photo Contest

Panthera tigris, Ranthambhore National Park, India
Cheeeeese!

Species: Panthera tigris | Location: Ranthambhore National Park, India

While surveying her territory, Noor (T39) caught the scent of a rival tigress. While her grimace may be scary for some, her reaction was more of annoyance, than it was of aggression. We were lucky to get a glimpse of her canines and her tongue, one that can cleave meat from a bone, and not be prey. Smile for the camera Noor!
