Black-bellied Whistling-Duck, Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center - Port Aransas, TX, United States of America

Species: Black-bellied Whistling-Duck | Location: Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center - Port Aransas, TX, United States of America

The picture clearly depicts selfless parents, who would throw themselves between their precious little ducklings and danger of any kind. Be it a visious alligator, sneaky otter or...harmless passerby hurrying to their own nest. In any way, ducklings are safe!

About The Photographer

I'm a graduate student in computational material science. Which means I spend every day in front of computer screen. And the only way one can survive this type of lifestyle is by seizing every opportunity to escape into the wild! I, personally, do it with camera in hands: "To see - to capture - to share!"
