2017 Wildlife Photo Contest

The bachelor herd was in full force on this evening. Nearly fifty bulls were taking advantage of the last bits of grass sticking out of the fresh snow. Perhaps they knew that it was going to be a long winter. As the early winter sun was setting one of the big dominate bulls headed over the ridge and I was able to capture this photo of this magnificent animal breathing out a long breath on the cold winter air.

I have always loved the outdoors and after dabbling in photography for a number of years decided to get serious about combining the two passions.
