Species: American Bittern | Location: Tuttle Marsh, near Tawas, Michigan - a Duck's Unllimited Wetlands area, United States of America
By Katherine Flickinger
Captured this photo while driving through a wetland area built by Ducks Unlimited. I was surprised to see him sitting among the reeds and never moved while I photographed the beauty of this creature.
About The Photographer
I've been an avid wildlife photographer for a number of years and spend as much time as possible outside. I especially love taking action photos of wildlife and their young. I love sharing my photos, stories, and helping others learn the beauty the outside world has to offer. I have certified my property as a Wildlife Habitat through the NWF and have designed the landscape to attract all kinds of wildlife. I try to encourage others to see what they can do to help create natural environments to help support and protect the birds and wildlife, especially those that are endangered. I hope that the photos that I take will inspire others to get outside and enjoy all the wonder of the world.
